As a business owner at the Bowery, I saw Mike almost every day. He not only kept this place in one piece, he kept everyone laughing. I often joked with him that he should be the spokesperson for downtown Akron, because I didn’t know what it would be without him. He was a good guy and a good father who cared about his community. His presence will be missed throughout the city. I want to offer my most sincere condolences to his family and those who were closest to him. You will all be in my prayers.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May you and your family find strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you.
Screwes Family, Our thoughts and prayer are with you all. (The Esters Family)
2 Corinthians 1:3-5God of All Comfort3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Personally, Mike started as the maintenance guy in my building. Very quickly though he became my best friend here. He went out of his way countless times to make sure I was taken care of. Every single tenant and employee in my building loved him. No matter knowing him for 6 years or a couple weeks. I found that the main thing I can tell myself is that there are billions and billions of people on earth. I was amongst the very small group here that got to be friends with him and I consider myself very lucky for that. The love I have for his legacy extends now to his beautiful and caring family.
Our son, Casey, introduced us to Mike at the Bowery where they had become good friends. Among the many things he did for others, Mike was always looking out for Casey and helped make life there easier for him. He was a kind soul, a proud father and made the world around him a better place, we were blessed to have known him. His time on this Earth was way too short and he will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathy in your loss. We are lifting all of you in prayer.
Mike was such a beautiful and talented soul. He always brought a smile to my face or said something to make me laugh when I’d talk to him or run into him. My family members adored his presence. Our deepest condolences to his beautiful mom and family. Love you.
Family, may you find strength in one another and comfort in the love and memories you shared. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love you all.
Praying for your strength during this difficult time. Sending love and prayers for you all.
Today our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to my dear cousin, Mikey. Though it’s difficult to understand why some journeys end too soon, I find comfort in knowing that your life touched so many and your memory will continue to live on in all of us.
You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Lifting up our family and all whose lives Mikey touched in prayer. Rest peacefully, Mikey.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be with my family today but I’m with you in spirit. Mikey was a beautiful soul and treated me more like a sister than just his little cousin. I will cherish our talks of food and movies. I’ll love you forever Mike.
